I hate these, so I’ll keep them short.
1. Be courteous, and respectful. We can disagree with each other, but do not attack each other with disparaging (or mean) remarks. Do not try to do it indirectly, either, because I hate that even more.
2. No spam. Do not post links to outside sources for the sole reason of sending traffic to that link (or through it in the case of re-directs). It’s annoying, and rude. Links are fine to post to source information (like to backup your comments). Actually, I encourage people to source their information, because that leads to a lot less fights over validity or reputability of it.
3. Keep things at a PG-13 level. No porn. No F-bombs. No explicit sexual speaking (wow, that sounds terrible, there must be a better way for me to say that).
4. Use common sense. Most of us have been on the internet enough to know what is right and wrong. We are all people (except the bots lurking about), so we all should know how to treat other people. For those who have problems, I will deal with you with my own form of therapy (Meaning: I will smite your online presence on BoringDude.com, and enjoy it).
5. Keep it legal. United States law. No copyright infringing. No links to illegal downloads. Don’t be a jerk. Pay people for their work, rather than stealing it. No hacks and cracks (even white hat hacking, but most of you have your own places to talk about that, so please keep it there). I thought common sense would cover this, but then I remembered we have a lot of imbeciles in this world.
I really could have found a better, legally speaking, way of doing this, but I figure I am the Master and Rule of BoringDude.com, so I can just ban anyone for anything. Yes, that means if you think you can talk your way out of trouble based on a technicality, then you are sorely mistaken. There are no technicalities here, so do not be a punk.
These are the rules, whether you have read them or not. Enjoy!
